Case Presentation
Dual scan is a reliable protocol to plan the implant position based on the the desired final tooth position. in edentulous or partially edentulous arches. Inaccurate waxup or a displaced guide during the CBCT capture would necessitate a second CBCT exposure. This case report presents a dual scan taken with an inaccurate wax up of a partially edentulous patient. To avoid an additional CBCT exposure, an ideal virtual design was 3D printed and tried in for confirmation, and the file was merged with the CBCT taken originally to plan the implants based on the ideal teeth position.
