Digital workflow for full mouth rehabilitation of a young patient with severe wear: A clinical report
Objective |
This clinical case study aims to illustrate the effectiveness of employing a comprehensive digital workflow for esthetic mock- up and full mouth rehabilitation of a worn dentition in a young patient. |
Methods |
A 23-year-old male patient, who presented with severe anterior wear using CAD-CAM software for meticulous treatment planning. A 3D-printed digital mock-up models was designed and transferred to the patient's mouth using silicone index. Following the patient's esthetics approval, posterior occlusal tabletops were prepared, scanned and milled using monolithic lithium disilicate. After 12 posterior fixed dental prostheses were adhesively bonded, anterior temporary crown shells were milled from PMMA, and teeth were prepared through a mock-up to ensure minimal reduction. |
Conclusion
Digital workflow proves highly efficacious in achieving predictable temporization, optimal prostheses’ fit and desirable esthetic results in full mouth rehabilitations.
