Pediatric Pain Medicine: The Landscape of Current Fellowship Programs In the United States
According to the ACGME 2022-2023 databook, there are 115 ACGME-accredited pain medicine fellowship programs in the United States.1 However, majority are adult fellowships. According to the Society for Pediatric Pain Medicine, there are 11 pediatric pain medicine fellowship programs available in the country. There is also little current literature evaluating the landscape of pediatric pain medicine fellowship programs.2 Our review may be one of the first analyses of the current structure of pediatric pain medicine fellowship programs in the United States.
