"Complications of implantable chemotherapy ports  
  a single center experience"

We analized retrospectively the records of 208 pacients of our hospital (“ D. Gerota” Hospital from Bucharest) between 2021 and 2025 who received subcutaneous port catheter with regard to implantation complication and complications in the course of Porth Cath use.  In our study the most common complication was catheter related infection  (4,3%).  ).  We did not have a cases of hemotorax or pneumothorax, but we did have a case of a fractured catheter that migrated into the the pulmonary artery. The fragment was removed by interventional radiologist.
