Abstract:

Presently, due to the availability of better imaging modalities, pelvic mass is diagnosed and managed early. We are presenting a rare case of large ovarian cyst in a 48-year-old patient who presented with complaints of on and off abdominal pain since 3months, associated with nausea but no vomiting. On laparotomy, there was a huge left ovarian mass measuring 17x18x10cm, with 2 rounds of torsion, ascitic fluid present clear straw color, weight of the cyst 2.5kg. On histopathology, borderline serous cystadenoma. We present this case because of its rarity.

Keywords: Ovarian cyst, laparotomy, giant, cystadenoma, serous, borderline.
