Title: Managing a case of Rhabdomyosarcoma of uterus in a young patient - a rare case

Introduction:

Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) of the uterus is an exceedingly rare and aggressive malignancy, representing less than 1% of all uterine cancers.

It most commonly affects postmenopausal women, with embryonal and pleomorphic subtypes more frequently observed in adults

Uterine RMS in young patients is exceptionally uncommon, making this case report unique. Early recognition and aggressive multimodal treatment are critical for improving outcomes

Case report:

A 35-year-old married, nulliparous woman with known hypertension presented with a 1.5-month history of intermittent abdominal pain and a progressively enlarging abdominal mass.

Ultrasound-guided biopsy revealed a neoplastic lesion with rhabdoid features, and immunohistochemistry was positive for myogenic markers, raising suspicion of rhabdomyosarcoma.

She presented to our tertiary care center with biopsy-proven uterine rhabdomyosarcoma
