USING CLINICAL SIMULATIONS TO IMPROVE ATHLETE FLOW AS PART OF WORLD CUP 2022 READINESS PREPAREDNESS AT ASPETAR
Dr. Syed Sajid Ahmed, Quality Management Department, Aspetar Hospital, Doha, Qatar
Clinical Simulation” can be broadly defined as the use of tools, devices, and/or environment to mimic a particular aspect of clinical care. Does repeated clinical simulation improve athlete flow?
Aspetar utilized multiple clinical simulations to standardize and improve its athlete flow process from registration, clinical examination, diagnosis, treatment, discharge and follow-up as a part of the readiness preparedness for the FIFA World Cup 2022. The clinical simulations took place over a week in November 2022.
Repeated clinical simulations led to improvement in performance with athlete flow and aided in World Cup 2022 readiness preparedness at Aspetar. Clinical simulations are a good tool to improve and standardize client flow.
Aspetar’s readiness preparedness efforts resulted in:
