INTRODUCTION:

The National Accreditation Organization (ONA) worked alongside more than 1,100 health organizations to improve their processes through ONA’s Brazilian methodology of accreditation. It has as main purpose the training and development of Surveyor of the Brazilian Accreditation System. Since its foundation and development of its first manual, ONA involve the Surveyors, who are professionals with higher education in several areas. These professionals are responsible for evaluating whether the requirements established in ONA manuals are implemented by health organizations that participate in the Brazilian ONA Accreditation System.

AIM:

Demonstrate the repercussion to monitor a Surveyor Development Program.

METHOD:

The Surveyor Development Program is established in the ONA Guiding Standard, where specific information is provided thus allowing Surveyor to be aware of:

§costs, time,

§competences,

§skills, access,

§results,

§rights and responsibilities,

§as well as participation criteria,

§minimum score required,

§benefits and

rules.

RESULTS:

As results, currently ONA has 750 participants of the Program considering all qualifications, a very important result for the Brazilian Accreditation System, because the development of this group contributes to the continuous improvement of surveys. A total of 100% of Aspirants, Trainees, Surveyor and Surveyor Leaders participate in the Program.

CONCLUSIONS:

§As part of the development of Surveyor, ONA carries out a series of trainings in the format of webinars, events, courses, content, among others.

§To define the schedule according to the current need and context, ONA periodically analyses the satisfaction surveys of events and promotes courses exclusive to Surveyor.

§The development of the application greatly favored the monitoring of the program and compliance with the rules established in the ONA Guidelines.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:

Prior to the application development and review of the Program as standard, 70% of the leading surveyor and surveyors participated in the Development Program. Aspirants and Trainees, on the other hand, could not participate, as defined in the norm. After the application development and review the number increased.
