BACKGROUND

1.NHS Mandates maximum 2 week wait for suspected cancer

2.GIRFT promotes one-stop clinics with consultation, TVS, biopsy & hysteroscopy.

3.BADS: 90% of endometrial biopsies can be outpatient.

OBJECTIVE-
To compare patient outcomes and efficiency between 2WW and One-Stop clinics for PMB/AUB.

MATERIALS AND METHODS

1.Retrospective review (May–Oct 2023). 50 Cases from each of

2 ww and One Stop clinic.

1.Total cases analysed-
- 42 patients in 2WW, 47 in One-Stop.
- Included PMB/AUB referrals.

2.Patient attributes, time taken from referral to histology and histology outcomes were reviewed.

CONCLUSIONS-

1. The one-stop hysteroscopy clinic serves as an excellent model for maximizing the effectiveness of the first appointment in alignment with the GIRFT recommendations.

2. Addition of operative hysteroscopy to the One Stop service can reduce the number of onward referrals.

3. Implementing proper coding, clear referral pathways and expanding the service will enhance the quality of care and effectiveness of the One Stop Hysteroscopy services.
