A case of ruptured interstitial ectopic pregnancy and its management

Part of Topic

Early pregnancy complications/early pregnancy and acute gynaecology

•Interstitial ectopic pregnancies are rare and occur when pregnancy implants in the interstitial portion of fallopian tube.
•They account for 1-6.3% of ectopic cases, and they have a significantly higher mortality rate compared to other types of ectopic pregnancy. They are difficult to diagnose clinically and sonographically.
•Hereby, we present a case of ruptured interstitial ectopic pregnancy, focusing on early diagnosis and emergency management.
