FILMED STAFF WORKFLOW WHEN MANAGING POSTPARTUM HAEMORRHAGE: A TIME AND MOTION STUDY
Thuan Phan, Hai Pham, Andrew Sharp, Andrew D. Weeks - University of Liverpool, UK and Tu Du Hospital, Vietnam
INTRODUCTION
Postpartum haemorrhage (PPH) is the leading cause of maternal death worldwide, especially in low- and middle-income countries. In Vietnam, despite declining maternal mortality, PPH remains a major challenge.
This study used time-and-motion methods to examine how obstetric teams manage PPH in a busy maternity hospital, aiming to identify workflow bottlenecks and improve care efficiency.
