Title: Precision CRISPR/Cas-Based Antimicrobials for Selective Elimination of Pathogenic Staphylococcus Species

Summary: We present a precision medicine strategy using CRISPR/Cas9 to target a lineage-specific bacterial protein biosynthesis pathway. Utilizing a custom automated bioinformatics pipeline, we designed highly specific guide RNAs that selectively eliminate pathogenic Staphylococcus aureus without cross-reacting with beneficial human microbiota or host cells, bypassing traditional antibiotic resistance bottlenecks.
