Breast Reconstruction
High-Volume Fat Grafting with and without Goldilocks Mastectomies Show Successful Clinical Outcomes for Breast Reconstruction.
Total breast reconstruction using autologous fat in a staged approach
Especially useful in high-risk patients requesting autologous options
Creates good cosmetic outcome with minimally invasive surgery
Autologous augmentation of breast mound created using mastectomy flaps
Average Total Volume Grafted: TAFG = 664 mL Goldilocks = 495 mL (p-value = 0.111)
Average FG Sessions: TAFG = 4 sessions Goldilocks = 2.64 sessions (p-value = 0.03)
Significant drop in fat grafted in the sixth session. From an average of 177 mL in the first five sessions to 63 mL in the final three sessions (p-value = 0.000).
High volume FG is a successful and safe form of breast reconstruction.
Successful volume can be achieved within 5 sessions of TAFG, or 3 session with Goldilocks.
Additional sessions improve cosmesis without effecting size.
