Part of Topic

This poster presents a novel financial literacy intervention developed as part of the cognitive enrichment arm of the Africa-FINGERS randomised controlled trial. Co-designed with communities across Kenya and Nigeria, the intervention integrates culturally relevant financial education, problem-solving, and intergenerational learning to enhance cognitive resilience and financial empowerment.

Financial literacy engages executive function, reasoning, memory, planning, and decision-making domains affected early in dementia, thus making it a promising yet underexplored cognitive enrichment strategy. The poster outlines the intervention development process, community engagement findings, and implementation approach, highlighting strong acceptability and potential for adherence.
