This case report describes the use of low-level laser therapy in antimicrobial photodynamic therapy (aPDT) for an infected post-amputation wound in a person with diabetes. After 12 aPDT sessions, followed by photobiomodulation (PBM), local signs of infection were controlled and the wound progressed to complete healing. The BWAT score decreased from 40 to 14, with no systemic antibiotic therapy used during the healing period.
