Title: Hierarchically Grown Novel CeO2/GO on Nylon Filter with Enhanced Hydrophilicity and Permeation Flux for Oil-water Separation

Introduction

1. Oil-water impurities and organic dye contaminants threaten freshwater resources.
2. These pollutants mix from urban oil sewage, oilfield production, and textile industry.
3. The adsorption, coagulation, and addition of demulsifiers are inadequate for removing such pollutants.
4. Modified polymeric membranes are widely utilized to remove such types of pollutants.
5. Polymeric membranes are modified with two types of materials :
a.Superhydrophobic
b.Superhydrophilic
6. The underwater superoleophobic surfaces are inspired by fish scales.
7. Superhydrophilic membranes possess a promising separation performance for oil and soluble organic dye removal.

Conclusion

1. The CeO2/GO-nylon filter is prepared by vacuum coating process using EDA as a crosslinker.
2. The CeO2/GO-nylon filter has good underwater superoleophobic characteristics.
3. It has a high water flux of 6451 Lm-2h-1 and 484 Lm-2h-1 oil flux.
4. It can reject 99% of oil and 99.9% of dye.
