Investigation of in vitro anti-inflammatory activity of compounds isolated from Garcinia quaesita Pierre fruit seed.

 

Garcinia quaesita Pierre, locally known as Rath Goraka, is an endemic tropical fruit tree in Sri Lanka with remarkable medicinal value. Inflammation is part of the body’s defense mechanism. It is the process by which the immune system recognizes and removes harmful and foreign stimuli and begins the healing process. The main objective of this research was to investigate in vitro anti-inflammatory activity of compounds isolated from Garcinia quaesita Pierre fruit seed.
