Cosmetic Reconstruction of Upper Lip After Partial Thickness Traumatic Avulsion
Large avulsions of the upper lip resulting in defects of the vermilion border pose a complicated dilemma for cosmetic surgeon. These cases necessitate careful planning and meticulous flap design in order to prevent tissue retraction and distortion of the local regional anatomy. Currently there is limited literature on the management of traumatic avulsion of the lip. We present a case report of a patient with of traumatic tissue loss of the upper lip.
