Rising to the challenges of complex wound healing in Care Homes
Queen's House Care Home, Kelso, UK
Introduction: Elderly people are now being admitted into care with complex medical
conditions, poor nutritional status, co-morbidities and increased age. These issues increase
the likelihood of wounds becoming hard to heal. This case study is an example of how,
despite the increased challenges of nursing residents in a Care Home setting, wound
healing is achievable.
