Adaptive Radiotherapy for Lung Cancer: More Questions than Answers

Aim: Adaptive radiotherapy for lung cancer is a challenging process due to enduring uncertainties regarding the action to be taken when patient contours, normal tissues and tumour volumes change in size and position during a course of radiotherapy. The objective of this work is to present a case review of a patient diagnosed with lung cancer, which provides a practical illustration of many of the challenges associated with changing anatomy during radiation therapy treatment.
